Teenage driver sustains moderate injuries in Jefferson County crash

JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO – A 16-year-old male driver sustained moderate injuries when his 2009 Honda Civic overturned and struck a tree on Friday afternoon.

Police report the teenager was traveling southbound on Hillsboro Victoria Road when he lost control of the vehicle north of Victoria Cemetery Road around 3:25 p.m. The vehicle overturned, traveled off the road, and struck a tree.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing. The teenager was transported to Mercy Hospital South. Police report the Civic was totaled in the crash.
