Teen injured after hitting vehicle in construction zone

MONROE COUNTY, MO. — A 19-year-old male was injured after rear-ending a semi-truck in a construction zone in Paris Wednesday afternoon, KTVO reports.

The accident happened just before 1:45 p.m., one mile west of Stoutsville, when Michael Pollitt drove his 2007 Toyota Camry into the back of the truck as it was stopped in a construction zone.

Pollitt suffered moderate injuries from the crash and was taken to the Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment. There are no reported injuries for the driver of the truck.
