BRINKTOWN, MO (MARIES COUNTY) – A man and a teenager were injured, the latter severely so, after their motorcycle crashed on Highway DD in Maries County on Friday afternoon, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred on Highway DD eastbound, about 1.4 miles east of Highway 133 at 4:35 p.m., when the driver of a 2011 Can-Am Spyder, 41-year-old Dixon man Travis A. Matlock, ran off the right side of the roadway. The Spyder went airborne, then crashed into a fence nearby.
Matlock sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital in Jefferson City for treatment.
His passenger, a 15-year-old boy also from Dixon, was airlifted to the hospital in Columbia after sustaining severe injuries.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
