Steelville man killed in northbound Missouri 185 accident

WASHINGTON COUNTY, MO – A 49-year-old Steelville man was killed in a single-vehicle accident on northbound Missouri 185 on Saturday afternoon.

Troy L. Wilson was traveling north on Missouri 185 in a 2018 Nissan Versa when he lost control in a curve, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol. The vehicle traveled off the left side of the road and hit a tree. MSHP reports the crash happened south of Hackberry Road around 4 p.m.

Wilson was transported to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 5:58 p.m. He was not wearing a seat belt.

The Nissan was totaled.
