Steelville man dead in Washington County rollover accident

COURTOIS, MO (WASHINGTON COUNTY) – A man was killed in a rollover accident overnight in Washington County after he was ejected from the vehicle.

A crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol states that the accident happened at 12:15 a.m. at 10074 Wells Road.

Steelville man Martin T. Rogers, 43, was driving a 1999 Jeep Wrangler south on Wells when he ran off the side of the roadway. The vehicle flipped over and ejected Rogers, leading to his death at the scene of the accident.

He was pronounced at 3:10 a.m. by the Washington County Deputy Coroner.

Rogers was not wearing a seatbelt when the accident, which totaled the Jeep, occurred.
