St. Peters crash closes multiple lanes on I-70, severe traffic delays

ST. PETERS, MO – Five lanes of westbound I-70 were closed and traffic was severely delayed due to a crash on Thursday afternoon.

The crash occurred around westbound I-70 after Missouri 370 around 3:17 p.m., according to 5 On Your Side’s traffic map. Delays of up to 13 minutes and increasing were reported. Traffic was slowed down from between Exit 227 (Veterans Memorial Parkway) and Exits 222,222A (Mid Rivers Mall Drive). Average driving speed was reported at ten miles per hour.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing. It is unclear what caused the crash.
