St. Louis woman hospitalized after rollover crash

ST. LOUIS, MO – A woman from St. Louis was rushed to the hospital after being involved in a rollover crash on I-55 late Tuesday morning.

According to the official accident report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred in the northbound lanes of I-55 just south of I-270 at about 11:58 a.m.

The report indicates that 29-year-old Danielle Wayne lost control of her 2008 Chrysler Sebring and struck an embankment on the side of the road before overturning and coming to rest in a roadside ditch.

Wayne was transported to Mercy Hosptial South to be treated for moderate injuries. An investigation into what may have caused her to lose control of the vehicle remains underway.
