St. Louis man shot, killed following collision

ST. LOUIS, MO – A man was killed following a car accident in the North Pointe Neighborhood that ended in gunfire.

According to KSDK, the incident was reported shortly before 11:00 p.m. near the intersection of Riverview Boulevard and Switzer Avenue.

Initial reports were of a car crash and ensuing gunshots. When police arrived on the scene, they discovered 27-year-old Staveion Durham with multiple gunshot wounds to his hand and upper body. Durham was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Another victim was hospitalized with minor injuries sustained in the crash. Poice believes the suspects escaped in a dark-colored sedan immediately following the incident.
