St. Louis man injured in semi rear-end collision on I-70

JENNINGS, MO – A 65-year-old St. Louis man was injured when a semi rear-ended another semi on eastbound I-70 on Wednesday morning.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, Otis Thompson was traveling east on I-70 in a 2015 International semi and slowed to a stop for traffic congestion. Larry J. Gray, 43, was traveling east on I-70 in a 2005 Kenworth semi. Gray failed to slow in time and his semi rear-ended the International semi. The crash happened west of Jennings Station Road around 10:50 a.m.

Thompson was transported to Barnes Jewish Hospital for minor injuries.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

The Kenworth semi sustained extensive damages and the International semi sustained minor damages.
