St. Louis man injured in Jefferson County hit-and-run

JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO – A man from St. Louis was hospitalized following a hit and run collision on I-55 early Thursday morning.

According to the official crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred in the southbound lanes of I-55 at about 5:42 a.m.

Troopers at the scene believe the driver of an unknown vehicle collided with a 2005 Toyota Sienna driven by 51-year-old Roland Weissinger.

Weissinger’s vehicle left the roadway and struck a concrete barrier. He was transported to Mercy Hospital South to be treated for moderate injuries.
