Pharmaceutical & Medical Products Litigation
Gerry Guerra was born and raised in metropolitan St Louis. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Certificate of Spanish Proficiency from St Louis University, cum laude, in 1991. Gerry graduated from Saint Louis University School of Law in 1994.
During his legal education Gerry participated in Moot Court, Civil Practice, Judicial Process Clinic and had Rule 13 Certification. In his third year of law school he worked as a staff attorney for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri's Pro Se Clerk's Office.
Upon graduation he joined a well respected St. Louis law firm and focused his practice primarily on litigating personal injury claims on behalf of plaintiffs. He worked on a variety of serious injury and death cases including products liability and crashworthiness, motor vehicle accidents, trucking accidents, workplace accidents and workers' compensation injuries.
During his tenure he also began cultivating a book of business clientele. This work included various types of commercial and real estate litigation involving winding down of business operations, asset distribution, partner disputes and construction disputes. His work led to him being hired by a business client as its General Counsel in late 1997. He remained in-house with this client for thirteen years overseeing all business operations while providing strategic advice to Ownership pertaining to management of assets, including real estate development, zoning, condemnation and eminent domain.
In 2010, Gerry started his own general law practice, the Guerra Law Firm, before joining The Onder Law Firm in January of 2013.
At The Onder Law Firm, Gerry works on a variety of personal injury cases including automobile accidents, catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases. He also handles pharmaceutical and defective products litigation cases including Actos, Lipitor, Risperdol, Mesothelioma, daVinci surgical robot, as well as Depuy hips and Zimmer knees. Gerry also handles criminal and traffic matters for the Firm's clientele, including Felonies and DWI.
Gerry is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Illinois. He lives in St. Louis with his wife and two sons.
