St. Clair woman seriously injured after semi-truck collision

FRANKLIN COUNTY, MO – A woman from St. Clair was rushed to the hospital after being hit with debris following an I-44 trucking accident Wednesday morning.

According to the official crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred in the westbound lanes of I-44 at the Highway AH Overpass shortly before 5:00 a.m.

Investigators at the scene believe the driver of a 2020 Freightliner struck the overpass while its bed was extended. The collision caused debris to fall on the 2020 Western Star driven by 52-year-old Belinda Whitlock.

Whitlock was transported via ambulance to St. Clair Mercy Hospital Washington in serious condition.
