HILLSBORO, MO (FRANKLIN COUNTY) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured Friday afternoon in a crash in Franklin County, according to a report published by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at 1 p.m. at the intersection of Routes A and BB when a 2003 Honda Civic, driven by 87-year-old Betty M. Gonzales, of Washington, Missouri, made an unsafe left turn. The turn brought her into the pathway of a 2020 Indian Scout motorcycle operated by Robert Sheahan, 42, of St. Clair.
The Civic and the Scout collided, leaving Sheahan with moderate injuries. He was taken to Mercy Hospital Washington for treatment and was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Gonzales is not reported as injured and is listed as wearing her seatbelt in the report.
