Several vehicles collided on the highway in St. Clair Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred on the westbound lanes of I-44. A Ford Edge driven by 67-year-old Kevin Broshous suddenly veered off the highway and crashed into a guardrail. This started a series of collisions involving several Volvo vehicles and a Peterbilt truck, blocking off the entire westbound side of the interstate. Broshous sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have yet to disclose the status of other motorists involved in the crash. The incident is currently under investigation.
