St. Charles man seriously injured in multi-vehicle rollover collision

ST. CHARLES, MO – A man from St. Charles was rushed to the hospital in serious condition after being involved in a two-vehicle rollover crash Sunday night.

According to the official crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred along I-70 near the 230 mile marker at about 10:12 p.m.

Police say the crash happened when the driver of an Infiniti rear-ended a Ford F-150 that had slowed for traffic, causing both vehicles to travel off the side of the road and into a traffic barrier and overturn.

The Infiniti caught fire immediately following the incident. Emergency services pulled the driver from the car and transported him to SSM Health DePaul Hospital to be treated for serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the F-150 does not appear to have been injured.
