St. Charles man injured in head-on collision on Hwy 79 in O’Fallon

O’FALLON, MO – A man from St. Charles was injured after another driver crashed into his vehicle head-on in St. Charles County this afternoon.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at the intersection of Route M and Highway 79, just after 12 p.m., when the driver of a 2006 Ford Escape failed to yield.

The Escape, operated by 31-year-old O’Fallon man John J. Donovan, crashed into the front of a 2008 Chrysler 300 driven by 49-year-old Eugene C. Blair, of St. Charles.

Blair was taken to the hospital in St. Peters with moderate injuries.

Donovan was not reported as hurt.

Both vehicles sustained extensive damage in the collision.
