St. Charles man injured after flipping motorcycle on Hwy 94 near Defiance

DEFIANCE, MO (ST. CHARLES COUNTY) – A 55-year-old motorcyclist was injured after crashing his vehicle on Highway 94 in St. Charles County yesterday afternoon, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident happened north of Defiance on westbound MO-94, near Route DD, at 4:35 p.m.

55-year-old Steven K. Jacobs, of St. Charles, was operating a 2014 Harley-Davidson Touring motorcycle when he was unable to properly negotiate a curve in the highway. The motorcycle went off the right side of the road, then flipped over.

Jacobs, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to the hospital in Lake St. Louis with moderate injuries.

No other people were reported as hurt.

The motorcycle sustained moderate damage in the accident.
