Speeding semi driver causes three-vehicle crash on I-70

ST. LOUIS, MO – A 26-year-old St. Louis semi driver was speeding and caused a three-vehicle crash on eastbound I-70 on Monday afternoon.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, Anthony M. Woodland was speeding on eastbound I-70 in a semi. He merged into another lane and rear-ended a 2018 Dodge Durango, driven by 31-year-old Lamarr A. Watson. The impacted pushed the Dodge into another lane where it collided with a 2017 Chevrolet Avalanche, driven by 30-year-old Ashley S. Galmore. Police report the accident happened at Lucas and Hunt Road around 3:45 p.m.

Watson, of St. Louis, was transported to Barnes Jewish Hospital for minor injuries.

All three drivers were wearing seat belts.

The Dodge sustained extensive damages and the semi and Chevrolet sustained minor damages.
