Speeding driver killed in northbound Missouri 47 accident

WARRENTON, MO – A 19-year-old speeding driver from Warrenton was killed in a crash on Missouri 47 on Thursday night.

Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Dakota A. Logan was traveling too fast for road conditions in a 2007 Mercury Montego. He lost control of the vehicle causing it to travel off the left side of the road and hit an embankment and group of trees. The impact caused the vehicle to return to the road and overturn south of Willow Road around 9:17 p.m.

Logan was ejected from the vehicle. He was struck by a 1999 Chevrolet S-10 heading south on Missouri.

MSHP reports Logan was pronounced dead at the crash scene at 9:32 p.m. He was not wearing a seat belt.

The Mercury was totaled and the Chevrolet was not damaged.
