Speeding driver crashes into utility pole

BOONE TOWNSHIP, MO – A 68-year-old male driver was speeding on eastbound Route D and crashed into a utility pole on Tuesday morning.
Police reported the crash occurred east of Cappeln Osage Road around 11:30 a.m. The driver was identified as David Fournier and was transported to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital for minor injuries.
Fournier was traveling too fast for the wet road conditions, traveled off the south side of the road, and struck a utility pole.
