Single-vehicle crash injures woman on SB US 61

O’FALLON, MO – A woman was injured on southbound US 61 near Hwy P  Thursday morning, according to MSHP.

Shannon V Behrens, 26, was heading south on U.S. 61 a Honda Accord when she strayed off the road and into a cable barrier. The impact sent the vehicle across the street and into a wall, ejecting Behrens from the car. She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.

First responders were sent to the crash site around 6:55 a.m. They transported Behrens in serious condition to Mercy Hospital via Arch Helicopter.
