Silex man injured in Lincoln County single-vehicle crash

SILEX, MO (LINCOLN COUNTY) – A man received serious injuries Friday afternoon in a single-vehicle collision on Highway E in Lincoln County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred at 721 Highway E, which is located near Old Highway E, at 1:25 p.m.

A 2001 Chevrolet 2500, operated by 58-year-old Patrick E. Fogarty, of Silex, ran off the side of the road and collided with an embankment.

The vehicle went into the air, and while it was airborne, it traveled over Old Highway E. The vehicle rolled over again after the final impact against the ground.

Fogarty was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. He was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt when the crash occurred.

No other people were hurt in the collision.
