Sheriff’s office employee dies in Newton County crash

NEWTON COUNTY, MO – Officials with the Newton County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the cause of a collision that killed one woman Tuesday morning.

According to Four State Homepage, the two-vehicle collision involving a tractor-trailer and SUV was reported around 8:00 a.m. along U.S. 60. Troopers say the crash happened when the SUV and tractor-trailer collided head-on a few miles east of Granby.

51-year-old Lisa Sharp, a front office worker at the sheriff’s office was killed as a result of the crash. No information regarding any injuries sustained by the truck driver has been released.
