Semi-truck driver hits deer on I-55

PERRY COUNTY, MO – The driver of a semi-truck has minor injuries after hitting a deer Friday morning, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Officials report the driver was heading down I-55 at 5:11 a.m. and hit a deer at the 125.4-mile marker. The 2020 Kenworth Conventional’s driver was identified as Robert Brooks, 53. 

Emergency crews transported Brooks to Perry County Memorial Hospital.
