A single-vehicle crash was reported in Saddlebrooke, Christian County Sunday morning.
At around 9:40 a.m., 23-year-old Matei Pop of Springfield was approaching the intersection of US Highway 65 and Saddlebrooke Drive when his vehicle suddenly veered off the roadway and crashed into a rock bluff. Pop sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. According to authorities, there is no data suggesting other vehicles were involved in the accident. Officials are investigating the case and have notified the victim’s family.
