Rush-hour crash causes major delays on I-270

ST. LOUIS, MO – Troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a collision southwest of downtown St. Louis that caused major delays for rush-hour commuters Tuesday morning.

According to the official Twitter page of the Missouri Department of Transportation, the accident occurred in the northbound lanes of I-270 near I-44 just before 8:00 a.m.

Officials have not reported any injuries as a result of the crash. However, the accident brought traffic to a halt for about an hour while the incident was investigated and cleared from the roadway.
