Rush-hour crash blocks two lanes on I-270

ST. LOUIS, MO – Officials with the Missouri State Highway Patrol shut down two lanes on I-270 northwest of St. Louis following a rush-hour crash Tuesday morning.

According to the official Twitter page of the Missouri Department of Transportation, the accident occurred in the eastbound lanes of I-270 near the Elizabeth Avenue exit shortly after 9:00 a.m.

No injuries were immediately reported as a result of the crash. However, the incident caused significant delays for those traveling into St. Louis during Tuesday morning’s rush-hour.
