ST. LOUIS, MO – Officials in Northeast St. Louis were forced to shut down two lanes on I-55 following a rush-hour accident.
According to the official Twitter page of the Missouri Department of Transportation, the accident occurred in the southbound lanes of I-55 near the exits to I-255 shortly before 7:00 p.m.

No injuries were reported as an immediate result of the crash. However, the right two southbound lanes were shut down for nearly an hour while the incident was cleared from the roadway.
