Rolla woman seriously injured after falling asleep at the wheel

FRANKLIN COUNTY, MO – A woman from Rolla was hospitalized in serious condition after her pickup truck overturned on I-44 Tuesday night.

According to the official crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened at the 248 mile marker on I-44 at about 9:15 p.m.

Troopers at the scene say, Kailyn McCall, 26, fell asleep behind the wheel of a 2008 GMC Sierra causing the truck to drift off the left side of the road and into a cable median barrier before overturning.

McCall was rushed to Mercy Hospital St. Louis. No other injuries were reported in the crash.
