Rear-end collision injures Perryville woman

FRANKLIN COUNTY, MO – A woman from Perryville is recovering in the hospital after a collision on I-44 Sunday evening.

According to the official crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred in the eastbound lanes of I-44 at mile marker 247 at about 6:49 p.m.

Officials at the scene say the driver of a Ford Mustang slowed to merge onto the interstate when he was rear-ended by a Ford 500.

One occupant in the Ford 500, 25-year-old Brittany Hassen was transported to Mercy Hosptial Washington to be treated for minor injuries sustained in the crash.
