Police chase results in two separate crashes, two drivers killed

ST. LOUIS, MO – Two people were killed after a police chase resulted in two separate two-vehicle crashes on Page Boulevard near Whittier Street on Wednesday night.

According to KMOV4 News, the fatal collisions involved four vehicles and occurred around 7:30 p.m. Local reports share a police chase occurred at the time of the crash.

Police were pursuing a 2017 Infinity Q50, driven by 39-year-old Daron Whitt, on westbound Page Boulevard as the vehicle was connected to an assault and robbery reported at Grand Boulevard and Page Boulevard.

The Infinity rear-ended a 2015 Nissan Altima, and the impact sent the Infinity into the eastbound lanes of Page Boulevard. This positioning caused the Altima to t-bone the Infinity.

Another crash was reported in conjunction with the other crash; however, it is unclear how the two are related. Another Nissan Altima, a 2021 model, collided with a 2006 Chevrolet HHR.

Whitt and the driver of the Chevrolet, unidentified at this time, both died at the crash scene.

Both drivers and the occupants of the other vehicles sustained minor injuries.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
