A motorist was killed in a car crash in Pickering early Friday evening.
At 6:15 p.m., 33-year-old David Piveral of Hopkins was driving a 2005 Pontiac G6 east on Route NN when his vehicle crashed and rolled over about seven miles northeast of Pickering. Piveral was thrown off the vehicle and sustained critical injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Other vehicles were not involved in the crash. Authorities are investigating the incident and will release more info when appropriate.
