Pevely woman killed in Jefferson County car accident

JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO – A 28-year-old Peverly woman was killed in a crash on Highway Z on Tuesday afternoon.

Police report Sanja M. McGregor was traveling on eastbound Highway Z east of Tower View when she lost control of her 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer in a curve. The Chevrolet traveled off the right side of the road and overturned multiple times around 5:15 p.m.

McGregor was pronounced dead at the crash scene at 5:31 p.m. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The Chevrolet was totaled.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
