ST. LOUIS, MO – One person was taken to the hospital after being hit by a suspected drunk driver in the Grove late last night, according to KMOV 4.
The crash occurred on Manchester Avenue near S Boyle Avenue at about 11 p.m., as GroveFest was occurring.
A driver suspected of being under the influence is said to have driven through multiple barricades, where they collided with a pedestrian.
The victim, who was not immediately identified, was taken to the hospital for the treatment of critical, serious injuries.
The driver was taken into police custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
The accident remains under investigation.
