Pedestrians intentionally struck near Highway N

ST. LOUIS, MO – According to the Daily Journal, two men were intentionally struck by a driver in Lesterville, MO on Saturday at 11:30 p.m.

Daryl Black, 58, hit pedestrians Brantley Mathes, 21, and Chris Whitbey, 44, with his 2011 Infiniti at 10733 Highway N.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol charged Black with 3 felonies: Felony driving while intoxicated with serious physical injury, felony leaving the scene of an accident with property damage exceeding $1,000, and felony leaving the scene of an accident with physical injury.

Mathes and Whitbey were flown to St. Louis’ Mercy Hospital, both in severe conditions.
