Pedestrian struck, killed in Madison Co., IL

MADISON CO., IL – A man was struck and killed by a pickup truck in Mitchell early this week, according to KMOV.

The incident occurred on East Chain of Rocks Road, just east of Lennox Avenue, at about 6 p.m. Monday. The unidentified 37-year-old man pedestrian was walking where the roadway meets the shoulder when he was hit by a silver GMC.

It is not clear whether he died at the scene or was taken to a hospital.
