JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO – According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, one person was struck by a vehicle and injured while walking westbound on Missouri 30.
A pedestrian was walking in the westbound lane of Missouri 30 at Local Hillsboro Road at 2:19 a.m. Thursday when he stepped in front of a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado. The driver of the Silverado was unable to avoid the pedestrian, striking him with the left side of the vehicle before running off the right side of the roadway.
The pedestrian received moderate injuries in the collision, and was transported to Mercy Hospital South.
