Pedestrian dead after being hit by car on Ellen Street in Dixon

DIXON, MO (PULASKI COUNTY) – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a driver on Ellen Street in Dixon yesterday morning, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened on S Ellen Street at 9:50 a.m., when the driver of a 2009 Chrysler Sebring, 41-year-old Dixon man Ronald N. Rollins went over the center of the roadway and off the left side before colliding with a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, identified as 68-year-old Dixon resident Deanna K. Groves, was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:50 a.m.

Rollins was not reported as injured.
