Passengers moderately injured in rear-ending accident in Washington County

WASHINGTON COUNTY, MO – Two passengers were injured when their vehicle rear-ended another on Missouri 8 Friday afternoon, the Daily Journal Online reports.

A 2009 Hyundai Sonata driven by Charles D. Moentmann, 28, was traveling eastbound at Germania Road when it failed to yield to a 2003 Chevrolet Suburban making a left turn. The front of the Sonata then hit the back of the Suburban.

Moentmann suffered minor injuries, but two passengers in his car were moderately injured and transported to Washington County Hospital.

There were no reported injuries from anyone in the Suburban.
