Passenger injured after 15-year-old Lebanon boy rear-ends vehicle

LEBANON, MO – A woman was injured after being involved in a rear-end collision in Laclede County yesterday afternoon, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred about three miles west of Lebanon on Highway 64, near Highway Aa. At about 3:40 p.m., the driver of a 2008 Hyundai Elantra was slowing to make a turn.

The Hyundai, operated by 28-year-old Lebanon man Jesse R. Nelson, was then struck from behind by a Honda Accord driven by a 15-year-old boy from Lebanon.

A passenger in the Honda, 64-year-old Lebanon woman Vickie G. Rogers, was taken to a local hospital for the treatment of minor injuries.

She and the other two drivers were wearing their seatbelts when the crash occurred.

Both vehicles were totaled in the collision.
