Passenger in serious condition in Washington County rollover crash

CADET, MO (WASHINGTON COUNTY) – One person experienced serious injuries in Washington County after being ejected this morning in a single-vehicle collision that also hurt the driver.

According to a crash report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened on MO-21 near Cyclone Road at about 1 a.m. when a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 went off the side of the highway.

The Silverado, driven by Potosi man Justin T. Kratky, 31, then went into a ditch before it collided with a driveway. The vehicle was sent airborne, and a passenger, 32-year-old Tyler G. Breakfield, also of Potosi, was ejected from the car.

Breakfield was taken to Mercy Hospital South with serious injuries, while Kratky was taken to Washington County Memorial for the treatment of minor wounds.

Neither of the men was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

No other injuries were reported during the vehicle-totaling collision.
