Overnight collision reported on I-270

ST LOUIS, MO – Officials in St. Louis responded to an accident that shut down one lane on I-270 early Friday morning.

According to the official Twitter page of the Missouri Department of Transportation, the incident occurred in the eastbound lanes of I-270 near the I-170 on-ramp shortly before 1:00 a.m.

Details regarding what may have caused the crash or how many vehicles were involved have not yet been released. However, the right lane was shut down for about an hour while the crash was investigated and cleared from the roadway.
