One person seriously injured in crash involving two motorcycles

VILLA RIDGE, MO – One person was seriously injured in a crash involving two motorcycles on eastbound Missouri 100 on Saturday afternoon.

David R. English, 25, was traveling east on Missouri 100 in a 2019 Suzuki GSXR and failed to pay attention to the road ahead, police report. He rear-ended a 2008 Yahama FZ1, driven by 24-year-old Luke A. Geisz, around 3:35 p.m. After the impact, English lost control of his motorcycle causing it to overturn.

English, of St. Charles, was transported to Mercy Hospital St. Louis for serious injuries.

Both motorcyclists were wearing seat belts.

The Suzuki sustained minor damages and the Yahama was not damaged.
