One person killed, three people injured in Missouri Route 94 crash

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, MO – A 43-year-old male driver was killed and three other people were injured in a head-on collision on Missouri Route 94 on Sunday evening.
Justin Luckett was traveling northbound on Missouri Route 94, approximately .9 miles east of the Weldon Spring Boat Access, in a 1995 Nissan Sentra when he traveled into oncoming traffic, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol. He struck a 2017 Nissan Maxima head-on around 6 p.m.
Luckett was transported to Progress West Hospital, where he passed away from his injuries. The driver of the Maxima, 59-year-old Bryan Powell, sustained serious injuries. Two of his passengers, 27-year-old Charles Bennett and 48-year-old Jamie Powell, sustained moderate injuries. All three were transported to Mercy Hospital St. Louis.
Both vehicles were totaled in the crash. It is unclear why Luckett traveled into oncoming traffic.
