One person injured in three-vehicle crash on eastbound I-70

ST. LOUIS, MO – One person was injured in a three-vehicle crash on eastbound I-70 at Highway U on Monday afternoon.

Lisa M. Camarena, 41, was stopped for traffic in the left lane on eastbound I-70 in a 2013 Cadillac XTS, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol. Mollie J. Dillingham, 19, was traveling too closely to the Cadillac in a 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee. She failed to keep a proper lookout and the front of her Jeep rear-ended the Cadillac. The impact caused the Jeep to slide into the path of a semi traveling behind the Jeep. Police report the front left of the semi hit the right side of the Jeep. The Jeep traveled off the left side of the road and hit a concrete median barrier. Police report the crash happened around 4:15 p.m.

Camerena was transported to Barnes Jewish Hospital for minor injuries.

All drivers were wearing seat belts.

Both the Jeep and the Cadillac sustained extensive damages and the semi sustained minor damages.
