One person injured in three-vehicle collision on northbound I-270

HAZELWOOD, MO – One person was injured in a three-vehicle collision on northbound I-270 at Highway 370 on Sunday afternoon.

Police report Kenneth P. Watson, 43, was merging onto northbound I-270 from Highway 370 in a 2004 Ford Mustang and traveling too fast for road conditions. The Ford rotated and struck the right side of a cargo van, driven by 54-year-old Todd B. Lacy. Police report the impact pushed the Ford into the path of a 2016 Ford Fiesta, driven by 62-year-old Mintha Foster. The accident happened around 3:35 p.m.

Watson, of Florissant, was transported to SSM Health DePaul Hospital for minor injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt.

Lacy, of Chesterfield, and Foster, of St. Louis, were wearing seat belts.

The Mustang was totaled and the cargo van and Fiesta sustained minor injuries.
