HIGH RIDGE, MO – One person was injured in a four-vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 30 and Little Brennan Road on Tuesday afternoon.
Police report George P. Flynn, 77, was stopped at the intersection in his 2018 Toyota Corolla for a red light. Codie A. Hinkle-Schumacher, 20, was traveling westbound on Highway 30 in a 2000 Chevrolet 1500 and hit the Toyota. He then proceeded through the intersection and struck a 2014 Chevrolet Sonic, driven by 26-year-old Michael T. Kren. Additionally, the Chevrolet 1500 hit a box truck, driven by 41-year-old Phillip R. Ennis. Both the Sonic and box truck were traveling southbound on Little Brennan Road through the intersection.
The accident happened around 4:37 p.m.
Flynn was transported to SSM Health St. Clare Hospital for minor injuries.
All drivers were wearing seat belts.
The Sonic and box truck sustained minor damages, the Chevrolet 1500 was totaled, and the Toyota sustained extensive damages.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
