One person injured after Ford Focus rear-ends Chevrolet Sonic on I-70

BRIDGETON, MO – A 2016 Ford Focus rear-ended a 2014 Chevrolet Sonic on westbound I-70 east of I-270 on Friday morning.

Police report Robyn Conner, 30, was traveling too closely to the Chevrolet and hit it when it slowed to allow someone to merge into the lane on westbound I-70 around 6:37 a.m. The Focus was extensively damaged in the crash; however, the Chevrolet only sustained minor damages.

Conner was transported to DePaul Hospital for minor injuries. Amber Merrell, 23, the Chevrolet driver was not injured in the crash.
