One person dead, another airlifted to St. Louis hospital after Alton crash

ALTON, IL – A person was killed and another airlifted to a St. Louis hospital for their injuries after crashing on Berm Highway on Saturday afternoon.

According to Alton Daily News, the fatal crash occurred on Berm Highway just west of Locks and Dam Way. One person was pronounced dead at the crash scene. The other person was airlifted to a St. Louis hospital for unknown injuries.

Police report it was a single-vehicle crash.

It is unclear what caused the crash.
