One injured in two-vehicle collision on Route P

ST. CHARLES, MO – A female driver was injured when her car collided with a vehicle trying to pass hers Friday afternoon, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports. 

Officials say that a 2001 Ford F150 and 1991 Chevrolet S10 were travelling eastbound on Route P by Flint Hill Drive at 2:05 p.m., when the Ford attempted to overtake the Chevrolet as it was making a left turn. 

Ruqayah Chambers, 27, suffered minor injures after her Chevrolet was struck on the right side. 

Emergency services transported Chambers to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital.
